Whoa. I think it's been awhile since I've been here. I've hopped around a lot in the last year. Settled in Eureka Springs, AR for awhile before hopping a plane to Germany in May. Initially I came to visit my German friend Jen, but I loved it and decided to stay. In July I met a great Dutchman named Harm (pronounced Hamm) and we've been seeing eachother monogamously since then. Harm lives outside this kitchy little college town called Wageningen in the Netherlands. I've been staying with him since the beginning of September. I dated this awesome girl named Leontina for awhile, but have decided it may be better for me to stick with one type for atleast the time being.
I absolutely love traveling. Market day in Groningen has been my favorite so far. Since Wageningen is inside Holland and not on the coast, it's not everyday that you see and smell fresh seafood. Market in Groningen is something else. Gulls flying around the square trying to snag a freshly caught fish. Sight see-ers and residents alike standing in line waiting to pick up something for dinner. While I have seen many things that are different from American foods, I have seen alot of familiar things with different names. Guess I figured it would be like that.
Amsterdam is amazing. I still haven't had the chance to visit the Anne Frank museum but hopefully soon I'll get to that. I've not been schnockered enough to visit some of the more questionable districts by myself, although for the most part I feel safe here. I still haven't learned much of the Dutch language. I think I've been procrastinating so long because so many people speak English!
Hopefully I can get to updating on a regular basis and find some friends on here. LoL. I think the one girl I had befriended probably thought I forgot about her! Here's hoping 2007 brings more entries! And new friends!
